Looks to me that the Porsche let up towards the end. You see the nose dive as if it applied the brakes.

My prediction was the Porsche or Mclaren coming in 1st or 2nd with the Tesla coming in 3rd after taking the first 1/8 and the Porsche or mclaren taking over from there.

Slowest car is the Tesla, I have never seen one Tesla driven on the highway faster than 60mph. They are slow as hell on the highway driven by entitled drivers afraid of being out of power.

Heh. I had a guy in a Model X P100D race me the other day.

I was in the wife's ML63 and came up next to him at a stop light. He looked over at me and saw me checking it out and he grinned and pointed ahead. I nodded and smiled, and we both hammered it when the light changed. I beat him through the intersection by about half a car as I got a better reaction time, but then he passed me soon after. By 70 mph, he was about 2.5 cars ahead, and he was still pulling away. For comparison, the ML63 does 0-60 in 4.2 and 1/4 in 12.4 at 113.

Turns out we were both going to the same place, our kids play soccer together.

I can't wait for the day when a P100D challenges my 2016 R1M at a stoplight. I'll wave while I'm eating a sandwich on the side of the road waiting for him/her to catch up. And I can do multiple full-throttle runs without going into limp mode.

Motorcycle vs Telsa is about as fair as pitting the one-trick-pony novelty Telsa against a bunch of real cars. I'd feel the same way if the Dodge Demon had been included in this test. The Tesla was clearly engineered to be able to pull off 1 quick run down the track to appease magazine racers. Here's a challenge. Let me use each of these cars to commute to work for 1 week. No refueling allowed. On Friday evening, we'll hit the dragstrip and see how the Tesla fares on a 5% charge. That's the real world. Next time, why not just include a Top Fuel car? Its even less useful than the Tesla in the real world, but actual usability doesn't appear to mean anything to some posters in this thread.

But he is not talking about just any bike, he is talking about the Yamaha R1m. The Tesla is no match for that or any other car out there that I know of. It wont be fair.

I rest my case. The Tesla is a one trick pony and shouldn't have been included in this comparison.
