A Tesla will leave your agricultural vehicle standing at the stop lights and not poison the planet and ruin lungs.

npaladin, understand what the tipping point is. It is explained with a graph earlier in the thread. We are at that point now. EVs are more efficient all around. EVs have ranges of 330 miles. Fast chargers will come and come in fast. Electricity is even in the sticks. It is everywhere.

Someone hasn't looke carefully at the list of chemicals that batteries are made of....

Also easily swappable so I don't have to spend $2500 on a new battery pack when the existing one has a bad cell so the whole pack needs replacing.
Good news for you. All that is forecast for 2025. Then you will be driving an EV as gasoline will be difficult to get.

They have and all is recyclable. And EVs do not poison people.

You seem to misunderstand the data. Those 330 mile range EVs are not in a price range most people can afford, therefore are not yet a factor. The typical EV range is 100-120 miles, a Leaf or a Bolt. And it doesn't matter that electricity is everywhere, when it takes 8 hours to charge those vehicles, and after those 8 hours you can only go 100 or so miles (less on the highway). I'll use that up driving to work and back, and won't quite make it back from work. Forget errands, doctor visits, etc etc.

Oh, and by the way, I have no electricity in the exterior of my condo. Same with most apartment/condo dwellers.

Interestingly, if there were an EV in my price range that would fill my needs, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. But there isn't, hence me driving a regular hybrid instead. And before you say my particular situation is rare, it's not. It's not only common in my area, it's a large majority of people.

Like I have said before, if gas were going to be hard to get by 2025 companies wouldn’t still be building brand new gas stations today.

npaladin2000, have you looked at the Tony Seba vids? It seems like you have not as your knowledge is scant on the topic. Fast chargers charge up in 15 mins. These will be at filling stations, highways, etc. Depending on what size charger you install at home you can charge up in 4 hours or even less. The price of EVs is dropping. Even now with the high sticker price, EVs in total ownership work out cheaper. Do not go by myth, Luddites or Big Oil propaganda.

By 2025 no one will be building any new filling stations. Near me many have closed down and a number that operate have fast chargers in them. All moving to EV.
