That Dashboard Light chart showing percentage of vehicles over 18 years old by make was interesting...I'm guessing Oldsmobile was on top due to their vehicles probably not accumulating miles as quickly as most Toyota or Honda vehicles or just not ending up at auction at that age as frequently.

Steve Lang at Dashboard Light owns a BHPH lot, so he has seen a lot of cars come thru the auctions.

I find the most useful sites are those dedicated to my specific vehicles. You'll get much more useful information there from people with experience in your vehicle.

I'm surprised how high Mitsubishi was on the list of vehicles over 180,000 miles. I've always thought of them as being somewhat low quality, with the exception of the Lancer Evo.

I'm not surprised at all.
4-cylinder Mitsus are very simple cars that run all the time. The car eventually falls apart around the powertrain.
In the end you have a ratty car the won't die.

I have a 2007 Outlander with almost 200000 miles on it. The biggest problem I have is the price and availability of parts. Also, although the body is very good rust wise, little things like brackets, bolts, piping and hose connections, pans, are rusting away like crazy, and give the lack of replacement parts are going to create a problem to replace.
