I noticed a creaking noise coming from what I think is my front left suspension. Sound is more evident when I go slow over bumps but still can be heard at higher speeds and when I am stopped and turning the wheel mainly to the left. It has been going on for a week and today the mechanic looked at it and said he didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. He put lube on the all the rubber pieces and I still heard the noise after leaving the shop. I have an inspection in 2 weeks but I am worried it could be something serious. Any advice would be appreciated!!
I had a creaking in my rear suspension. Turned out to be it was because lubricant got onto the rubber. The springs were turning in their rubber seats, rather than just compressing, and it was making creaking noises. The solution was to take it all out and scrub it thoroughly with a detergent to get all of the oil off.
