I'm wondering what vehicle is out there that as medium sized , body on frame, front engine and rear wheel drive with a v8 or v6.

Look for a vehicle for someone by the way .

Also, any SUVs that are medium sized in the same category as the Crown Victoria?

Look at all of the cars around 10 years before the last crown victoria, and you'll see the sedans that still had frames.

You can look at whatever your local police department, especially those of more sprawling cities and with a semirural mix, are driving as the Vics all wear out. Weed out the SmartCar and Urban Tank extreme experiments, and you're left with...

Medium SUVs, almost entirely.

My Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is body on frame, front engine, rear wheel drive (unless I put it in four wheel drive).
Since it is an '05, it is a 4.0L inline 6. That works for me.

You'll definitely need to look at older vehicles. Body on frame has largely disappeared from all but vehicles with large towing or offroad capabilities, presumably because in most cases it severely reduces crash safety, and also has negative effects on ride quality and handling.

You are from Louisiana so all wheel drive is not essential.

Neither of those are body-on-frame, which was the OP's main concern. There are... dozens of mid- to large sedans that fit all the other characteristics.
