I am going to start looking for a used car soon to replace my 2010 Honda CRV and I want something a little bigger. Any recommendations for older model SUV's (Probably between 2008-2014) that are a little higher up then the CRV. It's the one thing that drives me crazy about my CRV. It feels too low and too similar to driving a car for my liking. I would like to be a little higher up when on the road. I would like a car that is really dependable and easy to maintain. I am not car savvy and don't want to be throwing money into it all the time. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

If you want really "large", check these:

Or else these:

4Runner will give you the truck-like experience you crave.

Do you want an SUV? Try a 4Runner or Xterra.
Midsize CUV? Highlander, SantaFe, Explorer, Terrain, Pathfinder, Ascent.
The Pilot and Passport are mini-vans disguised under a CUV body.

Absolutely not an Element. It's just as low as a car, lower than the CRV. We had one.

Highlander or 4Runner. The Highlander is lower than the 4Runner, for sure (I just traded a 2016 HL for a 2019 4Runner).

I have no clue about the Pilot because I've never had one, but I'd think it would be on par with the Highlander.

Yeah they're awesome. But a 4runner is a true offroad vehicle. Suspension and ride can be a bit rough.
