More or less, yes - you still need to look for the sales, but right now automakers have a glut of cars on the market and until that is sold off, you can get good deals.
I would say so. Dealers are at a time that consumers can take advantage of and get a better than average pricing on a new car/ Do the research on what you want then shop around.

If you have the cash or can get the financing, this is a 'field of gold' buyers market. It's over-saturated with new cars, production has been slashed or paused altogether in some places and dealers have tons of overstock.
Trust me if I had the money for a new Santa Fe, I'd get one and throw it in the garage next to my '04.
Most auto companies are making fantastic deals right now. My daughter just bought a Toyota Carolla (A/T). They gave her a huge discount, $5,000 trade-in on a clunker SUV... total cost was $12,000. The darn thing got her 39 MPG on her first trip. I also know that Ford is taking all offers and I can get a Focus for $11,000 (before trade-in) or an Escape (4X4, A/T...) for $16,000.
If you want new vehicle and can afford it, you will never get as good of deals as there is right now!
