My husband was kind enough to turn me onto these guys: ICON

I've got my eyes set on the FJ44. (As soon as my kids no longer require car seats. )

never seen them before, but pretty cool stuff! I'm not huge into off road, and purchasing one of those would be nuts if you didn't have intentions of taking it into the wilderness...maybe if I ever move away from town!

I'd be driving that FJ everywhere, especially in town.

Oh my.
Very pretty website and I'm craving an Iron Bronco right now.

Am I missing something, or does their site feature style over substance? Prettyness over technical data?

They offer technical data on the various models and the videos go into detail about their custom vehicles.

What kind of "substance" are you looking for?

Although I'm a Jeep man, and should go for the CJ version, I'd take the FJ40 in a heartbeat. Only because it actually looks like an original FJ40. If I'm going to buy a CJ, its going to be original.

So, these guys are just updating original designs to be more user friendly in today's times?

What's the pricing like?

Yeah, they're just restoring/sort-of updating older vehicles.

Did you see the CJ they have for sale? (70k)

Couldn't tell you the pricing, but i would imagine it's up there being that their stuff is custom.

Yeeeeowza! $70K!?!?! BUt at least its an actual CJ they rebuilt/modded.

I was refering to the CJ3B model they are building. Still neat, but I would prefer an original flat-fendered Willy's Jeep.

Anyway, I don't know what you're waiting for. Car seats will easily fit back there!

I guess I got preoccupied looking at all the cool steampunk-type photos and missed the technical and pricing info.

I think they look gorgeous and it's a neat idea. I really do like the Iron Bronco.
