The interior layout is great. I'm not big on trucks but Toyota knows how to design a good looking interior. Everything is where it should be and the cockpit is formed in a driver oriented design.

It's clear you are not driving one! The interior has the worst laid out dash of any vehicle made in the last 10 years. Nothing, and I mean nothing is where it should be. There is NOTHING driver oriented in the pos tundra

I don't think a CAT powered light truck is gonna fly (HD maint bill, and not conducive to 'Joe Public', Toyota driver... (Drive it till it breaks), "OH.. was I supposed to change the oil?, What's an air filter?"). Hino is a better choice for Toy.

With Dodge on the rocks, someone is gonna capture a significant market share, too bad, I like reading the stories of million mile + and still running strong - 12V cummins.

My biggest question (to ALL 1 ton truck manufacturers) would be, what is up with a useless 6 1/2' bed on a 1 ton dually?

Bydand, 6.5 bed isnt so bad as independent front suspension, or the even smaller bed of the megacabs...

The clearance lights are as ugly as sin. I wouldn't have any qualms about a Hino Diesel. An inline 6 would be ducky.

I wouldn't have any problems with a 1 ton if it holds up like other Toyota products. Ford and GM both make an excellent pickup.

I treat my 12v just as any HD diesel would be treated. Its very easy if you just do it. You have to be strict with all fluid changes, fuel/air filters every 12k, valve adjustment every 12k... no real black magic. Its virtually the same as any required maintenance a car requires... i fail to see why people see diesels as such a chore, they arent.

I have very simplistic excel spreadsheets for vehicle maintenance logs, takes seconds to update... if people would just take a few minutes out of their lives to stream line things they would quickly realize how such little time invested leads to much time and money saved.

They are wannabe trucks. How about those 3'10" beds some are making! How that is called a truck is beyond me!
Real 1 ton trucks have at least an 8' bed.

Toyota is probably the WORST in the industry for designing good looking interiors!!!!! Lemme guess... youre either 55+ years old or a librarian, right?

And for a $100 in 2 simple modifications, a 14 yr old Cummins 12v can put more power down than any of them!
I love a Duramx, but I thought the LMM made around 660 Ft./Lb. of torque. 860 would be nice though. Also, I don't think that Yota will ever run with the domestics.
