Navy drone crashes in Maryland - CNN.com

$176 Million dollars down the tube. Thankfully no one on the ground was injured. Of course I am sure it was on a test run. No spying on Americans going on here.

Yeah, because believing that the Navy would want to test expensive equipment and train its operators on how to use it is the more unlikely explanation here.

Really, that's mind boggling. $176 million. How many of these do we have? What other use could we come up with for that money?

The RQ4A is tha size of a small fixed wing fighter aircraft. The price quoted in the story most like was inflated to include the cost of reseach and development of the program. However I suspect each unit is about 120mil out the door.

That is a butt load of technology flying around.

One fell down and got all smashed up.
And then there were 29,999 US drones in the air
