Is VHF aircraft radio in decline?

Or is it just a case of a bad antenna?

I used to be able to hear VHF ATC communications for my airport's approach, as well as ZMP ("Minneapolis Center...") very easily. Now I can only hear my airport's weather broadcast.

Anybody know anything?

could be a building is blocking your signal, VHF is great for aircraft as it has a good range from the air, but when your on the ground, buildings other objects can block the signal, even on the airports there are dead zones where you might be able to receive but not transmit.

Possibly the frequencies have changed for these services in your area and you're still listening the old ones?
