I could put this in the Paranormal section, but I specifically wanted to hear any personal ghost stories from people involved with aviation, if anyone has one. Thanks!

No personal experiences to share. I'm sure you've heard of The Ghost of Flight 401, right? It was a book and then a movie about supposed sightings of the deceased flight crew of an Eastern Airlines L-1011 that had crashed in the Everglades in 1972.

I recall that one of the ghosts sought to reassure a nervous crewman by saying "There will never be another crash of an L-1011." This, of course, was before Delta Flight 191 went down in Dallas. Apparently, ghosts aren't any better at predicting the future than fortune tellers!

They recalled all the parts of Flt 401 that had been put in other planes and after that the ghosts supposedly quit showing up. Maybe that was why Delta Flt 191 went down in Dallas.

I've read about Flt 401 in depth and read the book by John G. Fuller. I was always sorry John Fuller was working on something else and wasn't able to give this story the detail it deserved. I've read his book "Fever" and it's an excellent book.

I've also read "Ghosts of the Air" by Martin Caiden and that was another great book. I've read about the stories about American Airlines Flt 191 after it crashed in 1979 and about Deke Slayton's plane when he died. There was also a long thread sometime back on another forum about haunted British airfields. That's why I thought maybe some of the people here had their own stories to tell.

As the OP mentioned I've also read about ghosts appearing in the area where American Airlines Flight 191 crashed.

I've seen the movie The Ghost of Flight 401. It was a decent movie. Ernest Borgnine plays Dom Cimoli. Hard to believe that a simple little indicator light was the root cause of this crash.
