I've been trying to get my hands on some Stroh's. I know it's rare outside Michigan, but every decent sized city usually has 1 or 2 stores who carry it.

Wow, I used to drink Strohs in the 70's in Baltimore. Thought they went out of business. People made fun of it but I loved Strohs! Check with Beltway Wine and Liquors - if it's available, they likely have it.

Funny you should mention Stroh's, I haven't seen it around here for many years. Back in the early nineties when I was living on Ann St., there was a store that sold beer/wine/liquor and really scary looking homemade doughnuts at the corner of Pratt and Durham. I went there frequently to buy 12 packs of Natty Boh. Once I bought a twelver of Natty, got it home to discover that the sealed pack contained 5 Bohs and 7 Blatz beers. Another time I bought a twelve pack only to find it held half Nattys and half Stroh's. I believe at the time all three brands were owned by G. Heileman's, and were being manufactured at the same plant in PA.

Try Buttons Liquors in Lutherville, they used to have it when I worked there in 2002. Also try Goldberg's in Brooklyn Park, they have stuff you wouldn't believe!

Wasn't a bad beer at all. I haven't had this in years and also thought they stopped production.

Best cheap American lager around, IMO. Nice hops taste, great golden color, not too sweet (like Pabst barf ribbon beer.) Old Milwaukee is good too.......but I think it is just Schiltz in a different can.

Shlitz is around the Upper Midwest, but is more abundant on the West Coast. The cheap beer of choice in Chicago is Old Style.

That's not hard to do.

Like the others have said back in the late 80's to early 90's Stroh's was prretty common. I lived in Catonsville then so that meant 40 West now Super (next to McD's)...

Strohs was cheap and cold... and good enough.

Today my low end everyday cold one choice is Yuenglings Lager.
