There is a comic book store in College Park that we frequent, so I actually love that development.

B30

MARC is still a good value at the higher price compared to other commuter rail.
MTA bus and real fare is ridiculously inexpensive at $3.50/day.

I wish they would purchased some decent quality fare collection machines for the buses or eliminate cash fares altogether.

Maybe that is what they should focus on.. improving customer service and fare collection practices. I have gotten on the #13 bus several times and the fare box was broken.. Maybe they only lost a few hundred bucks that day.. but that adds up..

How long does the B30 take.. I assume that is from BWI to Greenbelt?

Correct, BWI to Greenbelt.

I did that from downtown DC to Camden Yards once. Hours.
Green line all the way out, then B30, then light rail...

Yeah, I was being sarcastic. I did it a couple of times just because I'm 1/2 crazy, but certainly wouldn't recommend it as a real commuting option.

So hard to read tone through text...but definitely. Doesn't save off MARC either when you consider the cost of that long on the DC Metro + special bus + light rail.

I'm going to have to start a Bmore/DC commute. Where do you park your car near the Marc?

Which Station? If you are in Baltimore City.. your best best is West Baltimore.. since they just expanded the parking lot.. If you are more in the north or central section of the City.. try to take transit to Penn Station.. Parking there is expensive.. but there are a few cheap lots north of the station where you can park for about $8 a day.. until the lot is redeveloped.

Other options nearby, sort of, is Halethorpe.. but get there early.

You can also roll out of Camden Yards.. but the trains run less frequent so take transit or the Light Rail.. There is a parking lot there to that serves the Oriole Park.. but it costs....
