It looks like Fort Meade and Glen Burnie were transposed on this map.

The complete Baltimore Metro Subway network, as per the original plan

Ah, would that it be . . .

Sadly, though, it'll never happen. The disjointed little "system" of the Metro Subway and Light Rail are all we are ever going to get. It's uncertain whether Gov. Hogan would have approved the Red Line if the riots had never happened (probably not, but we'll never know); but what IS certain is that, thanks to those unpleasant events, the rest of Maryland doesn't want to flush millions of dollars into a system that would make it easier for the West Baltimorons to travel to other parts of the region. Politically incorrect though it may be, the rest of the state most certainly does not want those rioting hoodrats to invade their own communities.

As for the argument that a rail system would revitalize the area, rail can help push things along, but it won't revitalize an area that would otherwise not come back. As proof, I offer you the intersection of Penn and North avenues, site of the torched CVS. A station of the Metro Subway sits directly underneath that intersection. Didn't seem to help revitalize the area too much.

*You meant those white meth addicts and crackheads in Brooklyn Park, Lansdowne, Pigtown and other degrading and disgusting communities?! These individuals ride the trains and subways as well.

Yep keep the Characters(Trouble makers)quarantined.. They should not be allowed to spread into the suburbs, and throughout the state easily.. Which is what this plan would have aided.

But I'm glad we agree for the most part.
Yes, they could've reproduced like jackrabbits and our state would become a state filled with mayhem! That's what happened when they built the Washington, D.C. subway.

No jackrabbits in D.C. (outside the National Zoo and Rock Creek Park).

As for the Washington D.C. subway........one of the best in the nation
for local commuting. Didn't you hear? The crime rate in D.C. and surrounding
counties has lowered in recent years. It is a myth that a sprawling mass
transit system spreads crime.

I tried using Comic Sans with that post, but it wasn't showing up. I was being totally facetious, as I already knew the facts that you just posted. A subway system would've been quite beneficial to Baltimore.
