I associate that zip with Dundalk, yet some addresses fall under as "Baltimore 21222". Would one be considered in the city or the county if one has a 21222 zip?

The zip code crosses the city-county line because the post office determines what is convenient for them to deliver mail. If you look on Mapquest, you see that the city-county line runs close to Central Ave.

The property taxes, city services, etc are determined by whether the property is in the city or county, not the zip code. I would bet that there are parcels that fall in both city and county.

Personally, I would use Dundalk 21222 for the county addresses, and Baltimore 21222 for city addresses, but the mail wil get delivered either way.

But how to know if you must do the annual jury duty like for bomo residents? would 21222 inhabitants fall under the forced jury duty?

No, they probably go by property tax records. If the address is on the City tax rolls, the residents, whether renters or owners could be subject to jury duty.

Yes, there are the real property tax record you can search by address. Website here: Real Property

If you do not find the address, it may be in the county, or a vacant lot. I tested the site with 2 addresses on Dundalk Avenue, one inside, and one outside the city limits.

What do you mean by that? Dundalk is like 80% white, Baltimore is like 65% black, demographically its a very different area. What sucks for Dundalk is that Baltimore city has pushed it's Section 8 residents into the area, which just makes matters worse in terms of crimes, drugs, miscegenation, and poverty.

Where in the 'Alk is this happening? I would think it because these section 8ers want better housing location and schooling than what's in the city.
