It's not the dimensions because they're the same as the last stadium but the ball is just taking off to all fields. Something about the wind current of the new stadium is insane. When they level the other stadium more air will probably flow from their. At this rate Swisher could end up with 50 HR's by the end of the year.

Well the dimensions are obviously part of it. Sure there are different wind currents in the new park but since it is a NEW park they should have updated the dimensions a little bit. Times change and 314-318 down the lines is too shallow for today's ballplayers. 20 home runs in 4 games isnt baseball. Especially when you got horrible pitchers like Wang throwing then the ball is going to fly out.

By the way, just heard the Yankees are going to skip Wang's next start vs the Red Sox (by chance?) Like i said bro, you should be more worried if he is going to pitch effectively again. He could be done. So much for getting 35 starts.

O - and just an example to debunk your incorrect assertion that over a course of a season, a so called #2 starter will get "easier" pitching matchups

#5 Micah Owings vs. #2 Rich Harden tonite

Haha. Well when someone proposes a pitcher for Cy Young who is coming off injury and is the 5-6th best candidate on his own team, i have to try to talk some sense into them. Especially when some of their points are not factual. O yeah, a 34.00 ERA doesnt help either.

You know you should stop talking about baseball when Nick Swisher is a better Cy pick than who you picked.

Funny, but we have all made bad predictions. Making hilariously bad preseason picks like, the Nationals are WS locks is one thing, but its never easy to pick things like batting titles or Cy Youngs. I don't think a bad (and its turned out to be really bad) pick for the Cy Young should DQ you from the discussion.

One of my worst, was even as a Whitesox fan going into 05 I thought it was going to be a dismal year. We had lost Mags, and C Lee...Frank was a year older and we had some guy named Shingo throwing 69 Mph frisbee balls closing games. I went on record with a lot of different people that the Sox would lose 100 games that year. Turns out they won 99 and went 11-1 in the post season. Whoops

Well Doc didn't pitch great today, but I can't say I'm worried. No walks and 9 Ks in 8 innings is impressive. Doesn't help when going against one of the three best hitting teams in baseball.

I would gladly trade a few weeks in the minors or bullpen and working it out to another 1 1/3 inning giving up 8-11 runs.
