Cheeks to me is often underrated, he was sorrounded by tremendous talent but was an amazing floor general. He also played at a time with Thomas and Johnson who were just flat out amazing point guards and often overshawdowed other Pt Guards of the time
A bunch of these guys including Mitch Richmond are not point guards.
Yeah I realized that right after I wrote it. I should read more carefully well I did list Johnny Moore and Kenny Anderson, I would also like to add Nate Archibald.
Moore used to play for the Spurs with George Gervin and he and Nate were the two best PG's in the league before Magic and Isiah came along.
Then there was Kenny who you could always count on to get you 17 PPG 8 AST
and 1 to 2 steals for game. Nothing real flashy he was just consistently solid.
Doesn't skiles still hold the record for most assists in a game? I think 30, when he played for the magic in the middle 90's. How does anyone get 30 assists in a game?

155-116 vs the denver nuggets, dec 30 1990. This explains it, it was during that high scoring era. How would a guy now get 30 assists, when teams barely score 80 points?
