We all know about the massive salaries the stars make in the NBA, but I was surprised to see how much scrubs can earn in their career.

I saw Brian Cardinal doing some garbage time for the Mavs, and took a look at his historical NBA pay. Much to my surprise, I found that he has earned nearly $40 million in his career, though never being a starter and bouncing around with 6 teams.

Brian Cardinal...$40 million.

Yeah, if you are a serviceable bench player you can make $3mil a year reasonably. The bottom end of the bench is generally a mil a year for someone that is steady and not a 30-60day contract guy.

Go look at how much Luke Walton made.

If you stop going to their games and buying their items, their salary will go down very fast.

Honestly, I rather Brian Cardinal get 40 million than a banker who get 40 just to gamble with our money. At least the former case we get some entertainment value.
