I only consider players on over .600 teams as top 10 league MVP so sorry Kobe, Harden, Rondo, Varejao, Holiday etc.!
Top 10 MVP Right Now...
1.LeBron James
2.Kevin Durant
3.Carmelo Anthony
4.Chris Paul
5.Tim Duncan
6.Stephen Curry
7.Tony Parker
8.Russell Westbrook
9.Zach Randolph
10.Al Horford

We had a thread about MVP's and I did some digging and the VAST majority of the time the guy that won the MVP was on a team that finished with one of the top 2 records in the league. So your .600 rule of thumb is pretty much spot on.
Melo is the obvious shocker....not that he hasn't been good in the past but the Knicks record sure makes him look like a strong candidate.
If the vote was today, my guess would be Melo or Durant. Lebron has won it enough times that I can see the voters going to the other guys.
3.Kobe Bryant 4.Chris Paul 5.Tim Duncan 6.Carmelo Anthony
7-10:
Zach Randolph
Nicolas Batum
Deron Williams
Chris Bosh
How could Kobe be third ahead of Carmelo. Knicks have the best record in the east. Carmelo at least third hand down. I don't think Kobe is in the top 10.
