Carmelo should definitely be ranked higher... I think Rudy Gay is the best player on the Grizzles at the moment, and not Zach.

Are you asking whom are the top players or whom is likely to win an MVP this season? There is often a difference per MVP history.

Way too early to tell whom will win mvp at this point.

Carmello is much higher at this point. Definitely ahead of Duncan and Paul. I would put Carmello 3 myself.

We had a thread about MVP's and I did some digging and the VAST majority of the time the guy that won the MVP was on a team that finished with one of the top 2 records in the league. So your .600 rule of thumb is pretty much spot on.

Melo is the obvious shocker....not that he hasn't been good in the past but the Knicks record sure makes him look like a strong candidate.

If the vote was today, my guess would be Melo or Durant. Lebron has won it enough times that I can see the voters going to the other guys.

How could Kobe be third ahead of Carmelo. Knicks have the best record in the east. Carmelo at least third hand down. I don't think Kobe is in the top 10.
