Larry Bird: 29.9 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 6.1 apg, 1.6 spg, 0.8 bpg, 2.8 turnovers, 52.7 fg%, 91.6 ft%, 41.4 3pt%

Lebron James: 25.3 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 6.8 apg, 1.4 spg, 0.6 bpg, 3.3 turnovers, 52.0 fg%, 73.1 ft%, 30.9 3pt%

With Lebron now getting bids for 1, 2 or 3 all time, I just wanted to reflect a little on how great Larry may have been.

With those numbers, how good would Larry have been in today's NBA? He could definitely shoot so wouldn't today's game with teams shooting 20+ 3s benefit a player like him? Do you think he would challenge Steph/Lebron/Durant for 2016 MVP?

Larry Bird is Lebron's closes comparison really in terms of all around ability. Bird was the better shooter. Lebron a better passer.

At age 31, Larry shot his highest career FG% and scored big highest PPG of his career. Hopefully Lebron's year 32 is better than Larry's (injured and only played 6 games).

After 31 years of age, Larry continued to be a force on the boards and dishing out assists, but his FG%, including 3 Pt FG% both dropped significantly.

Lebron might have knocked him off as one of the top 2 or 3 small forwards of all time....

Larrys numbers are better across the board. Thats why the debate lives on. Id take Larry.

Neither Lebron nor Larry get the 3 spot. Jordan 1, Magic 2, Jabar 3.... I put Kobe over Bird and Lebron but they ALL belong in the top 10 or 15.

The general argument is Bird and Lebron are the best SF's of all-time.

Me personally, I'd take Lebron.

Whom would you put ahead of Bird pushing him to 4th?

Maybe I'm not reading this right?

Personally, I'd take Bird. I just prefer his game. Plus, his biggest competition was two top 10 goats. In any other era he'd have moretitles.
