Summer of 2011 wife and I spent two wonderful months on the Big Island. We rented a nice house in Naalehu, rented a car and visited most of the island. I'm thinking of returning by myself in the Spring. If I do I'm contemplating doing more hiking and camping. Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated (got lots of great info last time). I'd really like to do some backpacking...will also rent a car.
