Posted 12-24-2011 at 09:53 AM by SCGranny

Christmas Eve...
Every creature is stirring. The cows are moving up the hill under the horse's watchful eye. The barn cats are pouncing on anything that moves, including their own and their relatives' tails. The herd dog is wandering back and forth between me and DH, looking for breakfast scraps. The chickens are arguing, clucking and crowing, which they do from sunup to sundown. The sun is shining, there is very little snow left after Wednesday's little offering. Yesterday we had steak, eggs,...

Random Thoughts About Co-Prepping and "Home-Grown Terrorism"

Posted 12-03-2011 at 08:40 AM by SCGranny

These are the types of people I live around.

This week was pretty hectic at work. I was pretty involved in a lot of various out-putting of 'fires' - everything from social-services-induced drama with some teenagers to co-teaching a class on American History (I was able to give the Southern perspective and some factual information about the War of Northern Aggression ).

Posted 04-10-2011 at 09:42 AM by SCGranny

I simply cannot believe all of the people who are talking on City-Data recently about leaping up and moving - to places where they have no family, no friends, no job offers, no residence - all they have is some gas money and the devout belief that "ANYwhere is better than HERE!"

Bad enough that some singles and couples are doing it; now there are whole FAMILIES planning on packing up ther cars and just taking off - for the sunny South, for the busy West, for New York City...

Good Lord Another Victim

Posted 01-31-2009 at 08:33 PM by SCGranny

What IS it with folks who must demand attention to themselves, whine about how miserable they are, and then react with rage when someone tells them life is what THEY make it, that THEY are responsible for their own life and their own problems and solutions? And why do so many feel constrained to calm their self-ruffled feathers when these 'lifetime victims' get so upset?

Must be this whole new liberal mindset, where so many succubi are clinging so desperately to other people, ANY and...
