Why not universal background check?

By "universal background check", the government really means background checks for "private sales" between individuals. Currently sales between dealers and individuals, where majority of guns are purchased, are already going through background checks called NICS.

What's wrong with background check on private sales?

Firstly, anything that is illegally already is. Criminals buying guns is illegally, so is knowingly selling to any prohibited person...

The whole point of limiting the magazine capacity is utterly ridiculous. Limiting magazine capacity puts law abiding citizens in serious danger while do nothing to the criminals.

1. In general, most people can't shoot well under stress, such as under life and death situation. Even for police, they score on average 1 in 4 bullets fired.
