The USDA put a halt to the importation of Fage yogurt a while back and had the product pulled off all the grocery shelves and destroyed.
I had heard that they lifted the ban on it earlier this year and were allowing it back in the U.S. Supposedly, you can only get it in Seattle right now. I don't know if that is true or not.
I'll be passing through Seattle in the next week or so. Would you like me to stop and look?

I knew about the recall and that's been over for awhile. Trader Joe's has stores in many states, and I know I've read reports from people in other states that they had it, so I doubt it's only available in Seattle. I've seen it for sale in other stores as well, just not around Boise.
Thanks for the offer, but I'll be driving up to Seattle for PAX next weekend, so I suppose I can bring some back with me if I can't find any locally. Only thing is, yogurt doesn't freeze well, so I won't be able to bring extra.
Never tried Fage yogurt or even heard of it. I'm sure you know of Tillamook as a prior WA resident. I wish I could find their yogurt down here in NM, so I'd recommend that to anyone who wants something unadultered and well-made.
I really hope you find a place that sells it so you can post it! Fage yogurt is one of the treats I miss eating - it was all over the place and easy to get in NYC.
To those that expressed interest, today I found out that they sell it at the Boise Co-Op. Unfortunately, they only sell the smallest sized containers.
I've heard that Whole Foods also sells it, so when they open their store next year it should become more readily available.
