Since I check out books from the library I probable will have to jump around between 3 books in order to get them done to get them back in time.

I'm usually reading "one main squeeze" but have two others going to give myself some variety.

Mostly one at a time, but occasionally I'll have two going.

Usually 2 or 3. I need one smaller book that I can easily carry around with me.

I usually read just one at a time. Historical non-fiction (which is what I'll mainly read) I'll only read one at a time. Back when I had more time to read, I had started on a few theology books, and I would read one of those for part of the day and then mostly read the history books. Now I'm back to reading just one at a time because I don't have much time to read anymore! (though if you're counting the Bible as a book, which I don't know why you wouldn't, then I'm always reading at least 2 books at a time. It seems like it's in a different category though, like a different kind of reading, I don't know).

3, 4 or 5 but often a couple of those get abandoned for some time (or forever).
