I've just noticed a few small (smaller than a grain of brown rice) brown beetle-esque buggies among my little library.

What to do, what to do?

I guess I could just 'bomb' the room and hope for the best.
?

Anyone else with this problem?

Thankfully, I haven't had this problem...
I would try putting the books in the freezer for a couple of weeks, which should kill the insects, without exposing you to toxic poisons. Stick them in plastic trash bags, or storage bins until you have had them all in the freezer. A friend of mine does this with any old textiles she buys, so it should work for books too. Just make sure to have them wrapped well in plastic.

I have always heard that rosemary worked against such bugs. Never tried though.

That'll work Brubaker. It saves electricity too.

I should have mentioned it in my first post but putting a cup of water in with the book is a good idea. Stand the book on end and fan the pages out. It should only take about 30 seconds to kill the bugs.
