Im a single guy who has lived in Boston for the past 7 years.

My sister and her three children are coming for their first New England visit at the end of this month. The kids are aged 10, 8 and 6.

I know nothing about kid sh1t. What the hell am I going to do with these people?

Advice/suggestions/whatnot?

p.s. No need to suggest I run away and hide for the weekend - I already thought of that.

Take them on a duck tour, go to the Science Museum, go on a harbor cruise. Also check out the Children's Museum. If you have a car, you could take them to Drumlin Farms in Lincoln or find a farm to go apple picking or checking out their pumpkins. Salem should have some good children oriented haunted house events.

It really depends what they like. Are they active and want to run around? Then the Children's Museum would be good. Are they into nature and animals, then the Aquarium could be cool. The Science Musuem is also a great place to check out, their new exhibit is about dragons and mythical creatures. Good luck.

Take them to Boston Common and let the kids play in the kiddie playland. Get hotdogs or sausages from the street vendors by park St station. Show them the the Granary burying grounds next to Park St church - the kids will love the spooky skulls. Walk down Tremont St to City Hall and the kids can run around Gov't Center. Then go to Quincy Market for more food and fun. Chances are good there will be some street performers, especially on the weekend. Continue out to North End and show then Paul Revere's house and the Old North Church which they learned about in history class.

If that's not enough, take 'em to Castle Island Park in South Boston to play in the kiddie parks there, see the Castle, and enjoy the ocean.

Still not enough? Hampton Beach is probably still happening!

If that's not enough, let me know. I have plenty more ideas.
