What are your thoughts to Mike Tyson return.

My general thought is that people are egging him on. This current Boxing era is very weak but so was Tyson's era. I think Mike needs to watch videos on his last 5 fights. A tall jabber will dominate him again. It's a very risky idea.

Can Tyson win the title again? Yes! If someone is stupid enough to get close to him. The last thing to go is power so I predict he is still very strong.

He could probably do well for 3 rounds or so.. I don't see him having the gas in the tank to go much past that.

Still.. Probably a hell of a 3 rounds.

I dunno.. Mike needs someone.. I don't know who it is or what they need to tell him.. But it just seems to me that Mike needs a friend. Not a comeback.

News, Watch Mike Tyson, 53, Show Off Devastating Speed and Strength in a New Training Video

Earlier this week, former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson made a surprise announcement that he was training for a comeback to the ring as part of a series of charity fights. In a podcast interview with the rapper T.I., Tyson also opened up about the challenges of taking on a grueling training regimen at the age of 53.

If he still has the same power, he only needs a round or two and one blow to knock somebody completely out. At 53 I think he would run out of gas before 12 rounds and end up biting somebody's lips off or something, then, go back into retirement. Would I buy a pay per view to watch him fight? Maybe but it would have to be a good opponent.

Power is the last thing to go, but at 53 and with several fights lost in his heyday it shouldnt happen. He was a beast and a boxing legend but he should focus on other things. He had a Broadway show and has appreared in film so he has options. The return would be a huge paycheck for him so money is certainly a factor here.

The guy has been boxing since 1985 to 2005. His body frame is used to fighting. He knows the sweet science.

Oh, puh--leeeeeez!

The guy's last fight was a loss to someone best known for ... beating Mike Tyson. He lost to a nobody who was himself on the downside of his career (Kevin McBride, who would go 2-6 in his post-Tyson fights before hanging it up).

Tyson's second-to-last fight was another loss, to another boxer best known for ... beating Mike Tyson. Danny Williams would go on to lose 25 fights after beating Tyson.

And.
That.
Was.
Fifteen.
Years.
Ago.

Does anyone think Tyson has gotten stronger, quicker, better in the last decade and a half?

No way! Unless he's taking some PEDs. My concern is that the media and people around him are egging him on. A voice of reason needs to chime in.

Ive always rooted against him because I did not like him at all. Plus, I thought the era was down in regards to competition and his trainers avoided certain fighters, which a documentary confirmed. I loved when Lennox beat him viciously. Now, I actually think he changed for the better. As he aged he appears to be a nice guy and humble.

Is this a money grab again!!??!! People on this Boxing forum tend to know their Boxing so I would be surprised if a real Boxing fan thought it was a good idea.

It's a last hurrah/money grab. Evander also made a "i am back" video.

They could probably make 10 to 20 million easy.
