Has anybody here ever gone thru the hiring process at Moog? I'm moving back to Buffalo and submitted an application there and would like some insight. I've been job hunting before and kind of know what to expect, but I was just curious with a big company like them.
Are you an engineer? My SO applied there many times and no luck. A buddy of his worked there as an engineer but got laid off. On the other hand, my next door neighbor worked there forever. It's in elma which is a nice area. Good luck!
@tikitwo8765: Yes, I am an engineer. I was born and raised in Buffalo and they've been there forever. Heard more about them when I was at UB. Location isn't a concern for me. When I move back up I plan on living somewhere in Hamburg. I applied for two different positions there but I was already rejected for one of them. Three days after I applied. The second one, that I can see thru their job board, that I'm still in the running for, I applied over two weeks before the one I got rejected for. So, their's hope.
Hopefully, it's not too tough to get into. I don't have any engineering connections up there. All the people that I know are not in the area anymore or not in the engineering field. I got connections where I currently am. But, that doesn't help me. Most of them don't know I plan on moving back up.
Nope. All family is in Buffalo. Born and raised in Buffalo. I'm coming home. I've found jobs. I've applied. Just waiting to hear back. Plus, I'm not a big fan or Rochester. Nothing in Rochester for me.
Mechanical design, project engineering, or product development.
Perhaps look into Praxair, which seems to have quite a few postings for its Tonawanda location.
