Just a microcosm of the federal financial concern, but a valid concern nonetheless

If I could pack up WNYs people, scenery, culture and food into a suitcase I’d move out of NY right now. Sadly, it’ll be a couple years.

Well he did promise to get 1/4 of the state's population on Medicaid, then that morphed into 1/3. The feds through the ACA rewarded states for expanding their Medicaid rolls and continues to do so.

What, in the world, could possibly go wrong?

Buffalo is part of New York State so a State deficit affects Buffalo If it wasn't for NY States problems and unfunded mandates Buffalo would be in a lot better condition.

I agree with you with one exception. If the unfunded mandates were removed, would the local leaders have the guts to make the cut? People have gotten used to the "benefits", and there will be a lot of noise if they do.
