We used a place called The Learning Garden (The Learning Garden) when my kids were little and was very pleased with it. It's right on Harris Hill & Wehrle Drive in Clarence just outside Williamsville. Not sure what we paid because it was about ten years ago. Hope this helps!
According to posters on the board, any of the preschools in Clarence or Williamsville ought to be fine. I wouldn't trust Amherst though because, according to posters on the board, their school rankings in Business First are lower than Clarence and Williamsville. If memory serves me correctly, the top five were Williamsville, Clarence, East Aurora, Orchard Park, Iroquois. So according to posters on the board, Amherst would be a no-go.
Yes, but you can never start too early. Since the results of these tests are largely correlated with socio-economics and the credentialed education attained by the parents, that would indicate that Amherst has a problem with poverty which isn't represented as strongly in Williamsville, Clarence, East Aurora, Orchard Park and Iroquois. Either way, I am just re-iterating talking points made by other posters.
there are chain pre-schools, church pre-schools and all other kinds, including mothers who babysit while home with their kids.
What I would do is contact the HR dept. where you or spouse will work, or your church, or your relatives and ask for recommendations. The feedback will be more personal.
