Try AirBNB? I see some rooms are only $30/night.

I am not sure which town you would be looking. Just in case you are looking in Amherst, I know a very nice and clean apartment unit on Carmen Rd that is available. Walking distance to Boulevard Mall, Wegmans and BJ.

Close to UB/Amherst Apartment 2-bedroom, Clean and Spacious 1200sqft!

If he only has 100 dollars per week for a place $400 per month. That means he might not be interested in your $850 per month apartment.

For the $400-$500 budget you could live in South Buffalo in one of the duplexes I imagine.

Even for there, it will probably be more.

Contact Catholic Charities as soon as possible, they can get you into emergency housing and help find permanent. What kind of apartment problems are you having?
