Anyone own a McDonald's franchise? (requirements, work, owner, starting)

I will be teaching a lesson on franchising next week and am looking for any information available on McD's. Not just the franchise fee, but also careers/starting jobs, and anything that would pertain to working there. I teach 9th graders, but I want to include as much as possible about the work world. Any info would be helpful, including Hamburger U. Thanks.

You can Google info on the basic requirements on starting a Mickey D's fairly easily so there won't be many problems there. If you want a more in-depth interview, a local interview may be the better way to go since they will know the school where you work at and just visiting your local franchise and saying "Hi my name is Mr. Smith and I'm a teacher at Quality High. We're doing this project and would like to ask you a few questions, is that alright?"

There's a good chance the owner's kids, their family or friends might attend your high school or even class and you'll get a lot more in depth answers than a public forum.
