It's not a big shocker, lower costs to do business plus they'll be closer to where the cars are made.

I think we could see quite a few more businesses doing this.

The Texas economy is strong and they can offer a lot of incentives.

CA doesn't seem to be in that same position right now.

That's the thanks we get for buying all those Priuses.

Let me give you a little hint friend: it's got nothing to do with Perry, other than him being a messenger. When a state/region, any state/region, keeps piling regulation upon regulation, and keeps increasing the effective tax rate, capital/business will flee to other more affordable and hospitable places like Texas, or Tennessee, or wherever to base it's operations.

When will California learn and adopt a friendlier business environment? How many more companies need to leave before drastic changes are implemented? It's sad to see a state with the largest GDP (correct if I'm wrong) in such decline.

I think too often there is the attitude of "people will always want to live here...the weather is so great" but having that type of attitude is risky.

It's a competitive world out there and most businesses don't HAVE to be based in CA these days.

A business here a business there adds up over time.

Solar or Wind farm, that is usually what you see in the barren wasteland desert. Maybe build a little city and put up mix used condo, give people a place to live but wait, they'll have no where to work. How about another Costco.

Another big business leaving this rotten state for a great one? Shocker! You know its bad when its too expensive for giants like Toyota and Apple to continue here and they move to a very business friendly state like TX.
