I was surprised it came a couple of days ago here in Monterey County. I was wondering if the other counties are getting them now as well?

If so I wonder how long it takes to start seeing some early results?

Yes, I got mine. I just got it yesterday and I sent in my request only a week ago. I was surprised to get it so soon.

You understand that they don't count the absentee ballots until election day at soonest, maybe not even then. Absentee ballots don't even make any difference unless the election is close, although of course they are always counted and they make the same difference as if you voted in person, just not as soon, and only if they overturn the election.

If anybody can answer my own question, can you "un-register" to vote? This is the last election that I intend to vote here in L.A. I'd like to tell the voter registrar to not send any future ballots to my current address. Can I do that? (Jeez, I used to be a registrar myself and I don't know.)

Interesting, no early numbers then.

Regarding unregistering I don't think that is necessary. When I moved to Colorado form CA I think a change of address was sufficient. Although that may have changes since - it was ~ 5 years ago.
