The California voters seemed to be a little schitzo this time. They voted against a bill designed to dismantle existing environmental legislation, then voted for a bill that will make implimentation difficult.
On a separate issue, the reason the majority of voters went against prop 23 was NOT because of a well reasoned, thought out process. It was due to an emotional response to a series of calculated mis-truths (oh what the h**l, lies) such as this:
Babies on inhalers! You've got to be ****ing me. That has NOTHING to do with AB32 and carbon dioxide! A baby on an inhaler is doing this due to sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide, NOT CARBON DIOXIDE, give me a f'ing break.
Oh man, images of smoke stacks spewing water vapor! Evil texas oil companies! Babies on inhalers! Prop 23 must be bad because of this, right?
