There is nothing in this article about the type of criminals they were. California, you had a really easy way of doing it. Find all potheads stuck behind bars. Fixed.

"Brown also blasted the decision Friday, saying, "California must now release upon the public nearly 10,000 inmates convicted of serious crimes..."

I think they've already done that. If you read Jerry Brown's statement, California has already released thousands of low-risk offenders.

This is just more political, liberal b.s. from the Supreme Court. Liberal politics has already ruined countless states and cities in America, and Jerry Brown himself, less liberal now, and more wise than he was when he was a two-term governor in the '70's, is reaping the results of some of his handiwork as "Gov. Moonbeam" as he was then known. If you want a good reference point for that, Google search Chief Justice Rose Bird.

Why not put them in tents and pink jumpers like Sheriff Joe in AZ. The temperature is a hell of lot cooler than AZ.

I have a family member that was released early for DUI. Supposed to spend 6 months, got 2 weeks and ankle monitor for rest of time. Objectively I think they did a smart thing with him. Saved a ton of money for the state, and he is working on his RE license while on house arrest. Besides what good does sending DUI people to jail when there was no injury and no violence.

I think they should all go to San Francisco. Didn't they just pass a law saying you're not allowed to ask a job applicant if they've ever broken the law?

As someone backing this law commented: "It's not like the people in prison are really criminals--it's more like they've had run ins with the law."
