I recently moved from Virginia and now I want to sell my motorcycle.

Unfortunately, I'm a bit confused if this would be a problem or not because the bike has less than 7500 miles and only meets 49 state emissions. According to CA law, you cannot register a vehicle with less than 7500 miles if it is purchased out-of-state and does not meet CA emissions. I was able to title and register the bike in CA (I was exempt from the law since I moved from out of state).

My question is now that I have registered and titled the bike in CA, will whoever buys it be able to also register it in CA? The DMV website doesn't really cover my exact situation so if anyone has had this experience before, I'd be really glad for any advice.

Yes
Now it has a CA title and registration there is nothing in the way.

Even if not, it would only take a few weeks to run it up to 7500 miles. Or a different odometer.

Thanks for the feedback. Has anyone actually purchased a vehicle from this scenario?

I don't want whoever buys my bike to run into any issues because of this.

I didn't even know 49-state cars were still sold in the U.S. I thought all cars had been 50-state since like 2002/3. Apparently I am wrong.
