Many universities have some kind of ride board where you can connect with students who are driving home for the summer and looking for riders to share expenses. Ask around at Cal Poly and see if you find one. If not, try here:

Were it me, I'd take Amtrak's Surfliner to LA, then the Southwest Chief to Flagstaff and an airport shuttle or Greyhound to Phoenix, presuming you're going to the Phoenix area. You might also check Amtrak's bus connector availability at Flag. Good luck!

Amtrak's schedule is early in the morning (3:50AM). I really have no idea how to do with my two large baggage.
I do not have car to drive to the station.
I'm using both craigslist and erideshare, but they seem to me like false hope.
