We're looking to replace our gas cook stove, the one we have now is hard to control the heat and burns our food quite often . Does anyone have any suggestions and pics if possible.
We have a camper, so its not like we're in a tent. We like to cook outside, but not over the campfire, "with one hand screwed up its hard for me to have told control".

I will simply suggest buying a Coleman 2 burner propane stove, you can't go wrong.

^It is the benchmark; especially if you have the space.

A couple years ago I got one of these and was very happy with it.
(Son has it now)

We've always had Coleman two burners. Actually, we have two.

Red and black Coleman?!

We still use the GREEN 2-burner, white gas Coleman that I bought in the late 60s. Still use the matching Coleman lantern too. AND the Coleman cooler that was bought at the same time. All nearly 50 years old now.

I use a Coleman, with an adapter to use a 5 gallon propane bottle. I don't have any experience with any other brand of camp stove.

However, I made the mistake of buying an inexpensive propane tabletop barbecue and the regulator was horrid. That thing was impossible to cook on.

That makes me suspect that a cheap camp stove might prove to be a mistake.

I certainly didn't save any money by buying the cheap barbecue, because I had to throw it away. Just because the cheap one looks the same does not mean it will work the same.

That's what we have, lol. Our lantern finally gave up the ghost. The bottom of the tank now leaks. More than likely some gas left in it that absorbed moisture and rusted it. Too bad- 20 yrs of service on that one!

The green machine white gas stove still goes strong though!

My wife tells the story of her and her ex camping next to a cliff on the Pacific coast in Oregon, and when her husband lit their old white gas Coleman it erupted in flames. He grabbed it and threw it over the cliff. When it finally quit bouncing and rolling and settled in the rocks at the bottom it was glowing, just like it was supposed to. He climbed down the cliff, retrieved it, and they used it for many more years. Not even the glass broke. I did have to replace the glass in mine several years ago. I've carried it in every camper I've owned since I bought it in 1967. I'm sure it has well over 100K miles on it.
