US Veterinarians Now Licensed/Registered in Canada? (licenses, retire)

We just got back from a spectacular trip to Vancouver and Victoria, and we loved every second of it. We have long thought that it might be somewhere we would want to retire, and this trip confirmed that it is.

My wife is a veterinarian licensed in six states here in the US (including the adjacent Washington State). Are there any veterinarians out there who have experience with the process of getting licenses/registered in Canada (generally) or, more specifically, in BC?
