Very nice, netwit. I work close to the Forks, and it really is a beautiful spot, shows the prairie spirit very well and the cultural richness of the city, too.
Wonder when that wasfilmed, there is like no snow in winnipeg right now.. some bare lawns even.
I think 3, maybe 4 weeks back we had a bit of a snowfall. He must have filmed it then. I'm not in the city - south of it - and it is basically bare here too.
In the spirit of winnipeg, I'm surprised his snare didn't get jacked while crossing the Provencher bridge.
In the spirit of [keeping safe in] winnipeg, I noticed he avoided the North End.
One thing I can always count on in the Winnipeg thread is negativity. I work in the north end, probably in one of the very worst areas. I walk during the day sometimes. Believe me it is fine. If however one chooses to hang out there at night, hang around with gangs, and practice unsafe activities then it is like any other city. There is a slight difference though. Pretty much all of the individuals who wind up injured or six feet under are known to police for one reason for one reason or another. I should have also added that this attitude is particuarly sad coming from people who have "heard" all about Winnipeg, but spent absolutely no time living there. I hardly feel endangered by gangs or anyone else. Unfortunately alot of these folks have chosen to live pretty dangerously.
