I know as a new TX resident I must register my car within 90 days to avoid paying fines, and so far I've been here a month so I still got two months left before that can start happening.
I've been reading online that TX and NY car insurance rates are fairly similar. If that's the case, I think I could delay paying the $200 required to register my car here as long as possible. Now if TX insurance rates were cheaper it would make sense to switch over.
What you do guys think? Any one with experience on how rates differ between these two states?
