Today Gracie (my oldest) was playing here in the living room and once the toy went under the couch she just decided it was time to play with her built in toy. She does this several times a week and it is pretty darn cute. She spins around like a top, stops and starts grooming her tail, and starts up again.

After she is done she is down for the afternoon. Sleepy Gracie.

One out of three does. So I can't really answer the poll. I agree, it is cute to watch.

More like undiscovered. Maybe this "bump" will fix that for a while.

One of my girls does. The other three just sit there and look at her like she's nuts. She'll chase her tail and meow at it like she's complaining because she hasn't caught it. When she finally does catch it, she'll clean it and then when she lets go, starts chasing and meowing all over again. She can do it for like 20 minutes before she gets bored and looks for a new toy.

My 2 chase the dog's tail as he's wagging it. So the dog comes to me, I pet him, and meanwhile the 2 cats are behind him chasing and grabbing his wagger.

Mine does all the time. She wants to hold her tail while sleeping too.

My Russian Blue female chases hers - she's the only cat I've ever had that does this. I find it hilarious.

Nope, none of my cats have ever chased their own tail. However, they have been known to pounce of someone else's tail for a quick bite.
