Some rescues are setting these up and allowing you to play with the cats, if they feel like playing. I think its pretty cool.

Just go to ipetcompanion.com

I love the idea, but my computer gets hung up on the survey page- I can't fill in the questions or hit cancel. I did like watching a big orange kitty at the Idaho shelter playing though!

Ain't working for me either. That survey overlay thing is junk. Couldn't even cancel out of it, and it maxed out my CPU.

What web browser do you use? I filled the registration out OK, but the toys didn't move for me.

I got it to work on the Idaho one but the kitties are all sleeping.

I don't know on all of them, but at least on the Idaho you don't need to sign up for anything.

The interface requires Silverlight plug in seems like.

I used it in Firefox 11 for Mac.

I had trouble getting from the original link above to the actual sites with the interface, though. Not sure why, perhaps something in my Firefox settings. That problem did not happen in Safari, FWIW. But I generally have all those kind of plug-ins turned off in Safari by default. But, that gave me a direct link.

So for Idaho you can go directly here: https://www.idahohumanesociety.org/a...ttens-online-/

To the questionnaire box that comes up, you can click the X in the top right, and continue to the control interface without telling them any info.

At least, I was able to, for that particular one. I could pan the camera around and move the toys (you have to hold on the 1, 2, 3 buttons to move the toys). I couldn't see where toy #2 was in that place, but I could see #1 and #3 move when I pressed the buttons. But all the cats I could see were sleeping.

I got the Idaho one to work, poorly, on IE. The panning was the worst, it was very delayed. The one kitty (orange tabby) who was out didn't want to play with the toy. He meowed at it and looked a little annoyed. That's OK, I'm used to being rebuffed sometimes.

Its a cute idea. I just don't think I am doing it right. The camera keeps going to the wall and it wont move off it. I saw some of the toys moving but didn't understand if it was what I was doing was moving them or if they really were. The cats didn't seem interested. Oh well. I tried. :O)

I tried it in Firefox and Chrome. The survey box is what messes me up. After filling in the required fields, I click "Submit" but nothing happens. The survey box just stays in its position, blocking the video screen. Same when I click "Cancel." What is your secret?
