My 3yr old Baby Kitty has been sleeping alot and not being his self lately. He eats, drinks and goes to litterbox normal but I noticed he has labored breathing.

I really worried now, it has been a week and I wish I would have noticed it earlier.

Any ideas what it could be?

He has an appointment with vet Monday morning.

Sorry I don't have any idea what it is. I've only seen this a couple of times with mine. One time it was being stressed out from being in the car. The other time my 15yr old cat was doing the same thing, didn't start doing it until the evening. Took her to the emergency vet to find out she had about 12 tumors throughout her lungs. That visit didn't end well.

I sure hope your kitty will be okay. Personally if it was me, I would take him to the emergency vet if he didn't get better after a couple hours.

Hope to hear he's better soon!

That's usually a sign of distress and pain. I would get her seen as quickly as I could manage. If it's been going on for a while along with other signs such as the lethargy there is probably something going on.

Bigg Mann...don't let the vet give Baby Kitty any shots.....at least not until the cat is well....goodluck, here's hoping it won't cost you an arm and a leg.

Our cat also had labored breathing and we took him to the vet immediately. We had to find a place that was open at night. Take him immediately. It could be a matter of life and death for the kitty.

Hope you are at the vet now. Labored breathing is very serious, it should be considered an emergency. All paws crossed here, keep us posted please.

Had the same thing happen with my angel baby doll, he had labored breathing and took hiim to the emergency vet the same day only to be told he had a tumor covering more than 50% of his lung. It didn't end well for us, we had the misfortune of having to have him put to sleep permanently. One of the hardest things I've had to experience and I've been through alot of tribulations. Miss and love him dearly, he is the only fuzzy baby I have ever had.

I hope your special sweetheart is doing well. Good luck and please keep us posted.
