We're in the same situation with Callie. We think she's still the one urinating on the two throw rugs we have put down. The last test showed there was no UTI. The meds worked. We have no way to know if another cat started, or if it's still her. The vet is at a loss as to what to tell us now. If this is behavioral, as was the urinating outside the box my SD's cat's never stopped doing - what's left?

Watching carefully, she mostly ignores Sheba. In fact she doesn't use the outdoor catio much since it's so hot these past 3 months here in TN. She seldom goes on the windowsills anymore for some reason. When she does she sees Sheba but doesn't react as before. We feed Sheba in the detached garage so she doesn't come up on the deck anymore.

And Sheba is getting obese. Her main diet is canned and raw but she stoppled playing a long time ago and gets little exercise. If separated from the other cats she will not eat at all.

All her blood work was 100% normal. We don't know where to go from here. The medication doesn't work. (Amitryptyline). All it does is make her sleep all the time adding to her weight problem.

Where my home was odorless before, there's now a faint smell of cat urine and it's getting sickening.

Confine Callie to a single room for a few days, and see if pee still appears on the throw rugs. Then you'll have your answer.

We haven't done that because of the danger of an overweight cat not eating for several days. She will not eat when separated from the others.

You can confine her for one day. That should be long enough to tell and the other one won't suffer any lasting effects from not eating for one day. Maybe do it 3 times(for one day) over a 2 week period or so.

Why haven't you just gotten rid of the throw rugs? Does she/they pee anywhere else or only on them?
