I never liked Ashton and this country is cursed with his type. Big, man-child opportunistic, superfical doofus, somehow designated as a "celebrity" despite having little talent. I always thought that Demi was slumming when she lowered herself to be with this twit, and figured something was wrong with her for doing so.

Hopefully, she can get by her problems and get someone better suited. He can go back to playing in the sandbox.

Theirs lasted longer than many Hollywood marriages. I'm rather surprised it lasted this long.

But I don't agree that he was an opportunist. Demi's career was already slowing down by the time they paired up; however, she was a very attractive woman that looked young for her age ~ Ashton probably had wet dreams about her when he was a teenager. I think he will be fine.
