Why do people hate Bobby Brown so Much? (actor, singer, life)

I have never understood the hatred that people have towards him. At one point he was a great singer, dancer and actor. Im praying that he makes a comeback.
In the past, BB was a heavy drug/alcohol user/abuser... and was involved in many of the behaviors/consequences that particular lifestyle always causes...
In addition, Whitney was thought to have begun her own alcohol/drug abuse while under his "tutelage" we will call it. NO, she did not have to participate, but some of us can get drawn into dangerous circumstances with those who have no conscious about such things.
I believe they had quite a stormy marriage... with Whitney seemingly on the receiving end of most of the pain.
Her family no doubt remembers all of the above.
Lastly, I saw Whitney in an interview after their marital breakup, during which she stated that BB spit on her during their last arguments.
I think many feel BB was way below Whitney in talent and class..!

I dislike him (as much as I can dislike someone I don't know) because of his antics with New Edition. I've watched sooooooooo many behind the music, where are they now, etc type of shows and he just seemed like a jerk. Like his music though
While I normally don't get involved in these type of discussions, I would like to say that Bobby Brown (in his heyday) was far from being a subpar performer. During the time Whitney met him, he had been one of the hottest R&B performers in recent years. In an interivew, Whitney admited that she had been attracted to Bobby because he was the "Bad Boy" of R&B.
Now, in regards to their marriage and what happened, no one knows for sure except Whitney and Bobby.

I agree with both of you, I've always been a fan of Bobby Brown. He was great with New Edition as well as solo. Classic. I still listen to his music.
His personal life is his own business, so really, who's to judge?
